We first met during our university days, but back then we were just acquaintances, crossing paths without knowing where life would take us. Fast forward to 2016, we reconnected—but timing wasn’t on our side. It wasn’t until late 2017 (third time’s the charm!) that we truly found each other and the rest is history.

In 2019, Colby moved in under somewhat unusual but completely fitting circumstances. Nicole had asked him to watch her dog, Jasper, for a week while she was in New Orleans. Colby moved in... and never moved out.

Our adventure together took a big leap in December 2021 when Nicole relocated to Manitoba for a job. In May 2022, Colby and Jasper made an epic 25-hour drive from Guelph to Brandon, Manitoba, to spend the summer together. By September of that year, we were back on the road—this time, together. We surprised family and friends by returning to Ontario, completing another 25-hour drive in just two days.

Once settled back in Guelph, we started planning our next adventure: a trip to Europe. Nicole had her heart set on Portugal, while Colby dreamed of castles. So, we visited friends in England before heading to Lagos, Portugal, where Colby proposed in the most “Colby” way imaginable—making a moment as unique as our journey together.

And now, we’re so excited to start this next chapter, with all of you by our side.
